Another Night

star

Another day paving the way, for night to reign
Fading away slowly, never to return again
Stars shining in the sky; moon playing hide and seek
With little fluffy clouds, night started its realm

I waited for my lone star shining down on me
From that distant world winking its way to glory
I closed my eyes to hold back my tears
Which waits for a reason to start its flow so freely
Another night alone in this lonesome world
Though you shine down from worlds apart

Another night

girl night

Another day paving the way
For night to reign
Fading away slowly
Never to return again

Stars shining in the sky
Moon playing hide and seek
With little fluffy clouds
Night started its realm

I waited for my lone star
Shining down on me
From that distant world
Winking its way to glory

I closed my eyes
To hold back my tears
Which waits for a reason
To start its flow so freely

Another night alone
In this lonesome world
Though you shine down
From worlds apart

Sometimes I wish…

Sometimes I wish simple things
Like tearing away these masks
Which I wear so freely these days
To hide those tears and distress
Who are my constant companions,
Following me like my own shadow!

Can I just be myself for once?
Without needing to hide behind
The fixed smile which comes
And always available on standby?

Can I cry my heart out for once
Without feeling guilty about it,
Till all my tears are drained out
Along with all the heartaches?

Can I be that girl for once
Who beams her sunshine smile
To the world around
Just because she is glad today

Girl in Cemetery

 girl candle

Alone in that desolate cemetery
Not a single soul around
Near the grave with a marble angel
Laden with a bunch of roses
Whose tombstone proclaimed
“He was a loving son and brother,
Now, up in Heaven to spread joy”
In the golden letters on white marble
She sat, head bend in silence
A single tear in her eyes
Glistening in the summer sun
Loosing count of passing time
Seconds turning to minutes and hours
In cognizant of the world around
What did she tell him wordlessly?
May be, how much she loved him
May be, how much she miss him
Or may be she questioned
Why he left her all alone?
Why can’t he come back?
Will this world ever want to know
What he was in this world
Other than being a son or brother
What did he meant to her
May be she asked God too
A few of her unanswered questions
Will the world see his wish
To share his world with her
To walk down that church aisle
With her beside him
Hand in hand and pride in eyes
To be her knight in shining armor
May be in another world
May be in another life!!
